New video, “Half,” from upcoming MR8 record!

Here’s “Half,” off the upcoming Mick Rhodes and the Hard Eight full-length album.  This is the first of several videos that we will be dropping in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for “When a Man Turns to Whiskey,” “Wonderful/Terrible,” and “Talk a Good Game,” among others. “Half” was directed by Drew Campbell. The song, about splitting your life in two, was written by Mick Rhodes, Wyman Reese and John Sleeger, produced by Wyman Reese and engineered by Jon Crawford, and recorded by Jon Crawford at Village Tracks and Brian Wells at Brown Liquor Studios.

New MR8 record, video coming soon!

Mick Rhodes and the Hard Eight are nearly done tracking the band’s third album, tentatively titled “Tilting at Windmills.” The 11-song record, recorded at Village Tracks and Brown Liquor Studios, features the single, “When a Man Turns to Whiskey.” “Whiskey” was penned by Mick and Wyman Reese, and will be accompanied by a music video directed by Solid Ray Woods, himself an accomplished musician (Jayhawks, Victoria Williams).
